Police searching for Plant City shooting suspect

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jose Alejandro Esparza, 32, who is wanted for attempted murder and domestic violence. Jose Alejandro Esparza

Esparza and his stepbrother, Ramiro Silva, 22, of 2808 Chance Place, Plant City, got into an argument at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 6. Esparza shot Silva in the face. It is unknown why they were arguing.

Esparza fled the scene in a 1999 or 2000 White Dodge Durango, with Florida tags.

Silva was transported by family members to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Espranza is described as a Hispanic, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. He is medium build and bald with a black goatee and brown eyes.

He is armed with a small-caliber handgun and thought to be in the area of 2710 Chance Place, Plant City.

Anyone with any information reference the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, (813) 247-8200. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of this suspect, and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward, should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).

    If it wasn’t for the observer, I’m sure we wouldn’t know half of the things that the regular news doesn’t tell us about our small town!!! Ty for this gonna go checking doors and locks lol!

    He didn’t get shot in the face it was an accident that the gun went off & shot him in the ear!!! I thought reporters/police had to have their facts straight before the accused people of such a … thing!!!

      Gee gee i love my brother very much even thou he makes me mad with the junk he does but plz dont defend him. It doesnt do anyone any good especially u n ur kids to keep giving him another chance. It was not an accident that the gun went off. If god forbid ramiro would have died would it b called an accident? I dont think so. Any way my brother needs to b man enough to pay the consequence of his action. Dont forget i love him you n the kids very much. Lots of prayer candos way n hugs n kisses for u n kids.
