The fire occurred Thursday, July 21.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Engine 26 responded to a report of a structure fire at 4018 Cork Road Thursday, July 21.
Upon arrival, the unit discovered a brush fire and flames engulfing the structure's roof. A boat and an RV also were on fire. The fire was fought from the outside of the structure due to the magnitude of exposures surrounding the home.
One of the occupants sustained fire-related injuries. HCFR also was able to rescue the family's two dogs.
One crew member sustained a non-life threatening injury.
The American Red Cross was on the scene to assist the family and their pets.
The HCFR Investigator was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
