Advantage Academy of Hillsborough will hold a special event Thursday, Jan. 21, to celebrate National School Choice Week.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the school, 350 W. Prosser Drive, and will feature food trucks, games and an opportunity for families to meet staff and explore the rigorous curriculum Advantage Academy of Hillsborough has to offer.
Advantage Academy of Hillsborough is a public charter school serving grades kindergarten through eighth with a student enrollment of 437.
It is one of more than 12,000 schools participating in National School Choice Week from Jan. 24 to 30. The goal of the week is to shine a positive spotlight on all types of education options for children — from traditional public schools to public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning and homeschooling.
“We are thrilled to have AAH participate in National School Choice Week by holding this special event,” Andrew Campanella, National School Choice Week president, said. “The week provides an opportunity for families in communities across America to discover more about the education options available to children. We salute the students, teachers and staff at AAH for their dedication to providing a quality education for children and for their involvement in this nationwide celebration.”
