Nizamoff has worked for the Chamber for 14 years.
For the last 14 years, Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce President Marion Smith and Vice President Amy Nizamoff have been a dynamic duo in the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World.
But just shortly after Smith announced her plans to retire this upcoming May, Nizamoff announced Wednesday, Jan. 20, that she is also leaving the Chamber.
Nizamoff, who was hired by Smith six months after she took over as president, has accepted a position with Suncoast Community Health Center.
Her final day at the Chamber will be Friday, Feb. 12.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to advance and grow my career," Nizamoff said. "Plant City accepted me. It was a very hard decision, but I am excited about my new journey."
"I was very sad to report to the board that Amy was leaving, but she had an opportunity just put in her lap that she could not turn down," Smith said. "She will certainly be missed."
