Samuel will ring the bell Monday, Feb. 22.
Sunshine Bank Chief Executive Officer Andrew Samuel won’t be in the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World on Monday, Feb. 22.
Samuel will be in Times Square, at the Nasdaq MarketSite. Sunshine Bancorp Inc., the holding company for Sunshine Bank, will be visiting the property on Monday. To mark the visit, Samuel will ring the Nasdaq Stock Market Opening Bell at 9:15 a.m. Nasdaq, the creator of the first electronic stock market in the world, has over 70 marketplaces in 50 countries. The stock market has a market value of about $9.6 trillion dollars.
Sunshine Bank was founded in Plant City in 1954. The holding company, Sunshine Bancorp Inc., was formed in 2014. Though the bank has grown to have 10 branch locations and two loan production offices in multiple counties, Samuel has expressed that Sunshine Bank’s headquarters will remain rooted in Plant City.
