An armed suspect who robbed the Arby’s on South Frontage Road Wednesday, Oct. 14, is thought to be the same suspect who robbed the Sonic on James L. Redman Parkway Tuesday, Oct. 13, according to Plant City Police Department detectives.
The suspect entered the restaurants during low-peak hours when there were no customers inside. He entered the Sonic at about 10:20 p.m. Oct. 13, and the Arby’s at about 2:52 p.m. Oct. 14.
In both robberies the suspect demanded cash then fled. In one of the robberies he was seen driving a black four-door minivan, unknown make and model.
The suspect has been described in both cases as a white male, about 5-foot-11, stocky build, with sandy blonde hair. He was wearing long dark shorts, black Nike tennis shoes, latex gloves and had his head wrapped with an ace bandage. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
