We asked Plant City: The City of Plant City is considering adding two new dog parks and potentially a splash pad to town, what are some things that you would like to see come to Plant City in the future?
“I like the idea of a splash pad. I think a bigger park with more things to do with kids would be great, like what Lakeland has.” – Brittany Sewell
“A place for teens to hang out but have adult supervision by employees. Arcade, pool, bowling.” – Victoria Pope
“A chain of parks starting in McCall Park then the railroad museum crossing the tracks to the railroad Observation park create a park in between there and Cooper’s park then create a park between there and Marie B Ellis Park.” – Brian Reed
“Splash pad is a fantastic idea! Not put it somewhere that businesses can come in around it. Could make it a central gathering place for the city.” – Alan Nelson
“One good playground, in full shade, in the middle of downtown would completely change that area. It would become a place for families to spend the day.” – Patrick Barrett
“Putt-putt golf. It’s family oriented entertainment, something I think many can enjoy. Families, teen groups, etc.” – Jackie Peterson
“Miniature golf is another great idea that I feel would add a lot of culture and hustle and bustle to the downtown area of plant City. I could easily see this being adjacent to the railroad museum and having a garden train theme. The splash pad is a great idea that should be expanded upon. I would love to have a community pool with diving boards and maybe even a few water slides and cabanas. Not a full-scale water park but an economical option for families that don’t want to make the drive to one of the water parks in Tampa or Orlando.” – Johnny Johnston
