Plant City Fire Rescue Chief Dan Azzariti added another title to his resume on Tuesday, July 12.
That day, Azzariti was sworn in as the new President of the Florida Fire Chiefs Association. The FFCA, based in Ormond Beach, is a leadership organization for Florida fire and emergency services professionals.
Azzariti has over 40 years of firefighting experience and is a Florida EMS Hall of Fame inductee. He came to Plant City in 2013, after working in Marion County and New Port Richey, and has held several leadership positions within the FFCA.
His son, Daniel, administered the oath of office.
