An accident on State Road 60 near Horton Road involving a school bus and a semi truck has caused several lanes to close in the area.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the eastbound lanes of SR 60 were closed and one westbound lane was left open. Traffic in the area was affected for several hours due to an oil spill from the truck, according to HCSO.
HCSO said the bus was assigned to Knights Elementary and only had one child on board. The child had no visible injuries, but was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital. The semi truck was overturned. The condition of the semi truck driver is currently unknown.
