Plant City Police Department officers are investigating an apparent homicide.
According to police department reports, at about 7:28 a.m. this morning, officers responded to 914 W. Warren St., in reference to an individual lying in the front yard. When officers arrived they found Edward Henry Lewis, 67, unconscious next to his vehicle with upper-body trauma.
Plant City Fire Rescue also responded and pronounced Lewis dead at 7:38 a.m.
Detectives are on-scene and are investigating Lewis’ death as a homicide.
This investigation remains open and is ongoing.
