After the rain disappeared overnight, Sunday, March 1, at the Florida Strawberry Festival saw plenty of guests come out to celebrate. From the pioneer village to rides on the midway, there was plenty to see and do.

The Youth Strawberry Stemming Contest was held Saturday, Feb. 28, in the Stingray Chevrolet Entertainment Tent. Competitors were divided into age groups and given a pack of berries. The first stemmer to remove all of their berries’ green parts was the winner. Kindergarteners had help from their parents, but the older stemmers competed independently.
