The Lower Green Swamp Preserve, formerly Cone Ranch, held its Family Day to celebrate the opening of the grounds to the public. Now nature lovers can hike two different loops. Equestrian trails are also available. Families enjoyed hay rides, guided tours and even got to plant some trees.

Girl Scout Troops from around the area gathered at Plant City’s American Legion for a Thinking Day. The girls learned about different cultures and countries by traveling around the world to different booths. They got to taste cuisine from Spain, Ireland, France and more.
