A musician using Plant City for his inspiration will soon take the stage at The Florida Opry.
Charlie Boone will perform his one-man show, 'Wailin' and Hollerin,' at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the 1914 Plant City High School Community Center, 605 N. Collins St.
All songs performed by Boone will be played on his handmade guitar, and are songs that were written about Plant City and its people.
Before the performance, the East Hillsborough Historical Society will have 'food tabs' available. As part of a partnership with the United Food Bank of Plant City, show attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item as a donation. Guests who bring non-perishable items will earn a $1 discount on the show tickets.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for students.
