A 3-year-old Plant City girl drowned in a pool Wednesday, June 17.
McKaylee Carlisle was helping her mother, Natalie Kline, 23, wash her car. They had been swimming in the above-ground pool at 7711 Loghouse Road earlier in the day.
When Kline noticed McKaylee wasn’t near the car, she went inside to check with Kline’s grandparents to see if she was inside. When she discovered McKaylee wasn’t inside, she immediately checked the pool, where McKaylee was found.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies responded at about 3:19 p.m. McKaylee was transported to Florida Hospital and pronounced dead.
Kline and her daughter lived with Kline’s grandparents at the Loghouse Road address.
