The Plant City Woman’s Club will be host its annual BBQ Chicken Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 17.

+ Empty Bowls Project
Middle- and high-school students can earn community service hours by helping the Empty Bowls committee glaze clay bowls from the schools that do not have a kiln.
The glazing will take place Thursday, Oct. 17, at Florida Brick and Clay, 1708 Turkey Creek Road. The service will take about two hours to glaze the clay bowls.
Roger Mitchell, FBC shipping and warehouse manager and Empty Bowls volunteer, will lead the students.

The Plant City Social Dance Club picnic will host a picnic 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Alderman’s Ford Park, 9625 Canoe Launch Road, Lithia.
Club members will furnish table service. Bring covered dishes, beverages and games. There is a $2-per-car entry fee.
