+ Daybreak Rotary Club
The annual Country Cracker Feast, hosted at the home of George and Cassandra Banning, was a success.
The Rotary Club raised more than $10,000 for the club to use for community-service projects. The club wants to thank South Florida Baptist Hospital, Walden Lake Car Wash, O’Brien’s Irish Pub, Sweetbay and the Hay Exchange for their help with the event.
Tommy Sparkman was the raffle winner of the Big Green Egg grill.
+ Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce
The 21st Annual Business of the Year awards will take place Thursday, Nov. 7, at the HCC Plant City John R. Trinkle Center, 1206 N. Park Road.
The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 7:15 p.m. and the program will begin at 8 p.m.
Finalists for Growing Business of the Year include Courtney Paat Agency — State Farm Insurance, ITEX Tampa Trade Exchange Inc. and Keel and Curley Winery.
Finalists for Small Business of the Year include Lubrano Designs, Neumeister’s Candy Shoppe and O’Neal & Sons Upholstery.
Finalists for Mid-Size Business of the Year include Catering by the Family, I-4 Power and Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union.
Finalists for Large Business of the Year include A Steppin Stone Air Conditioning and Heating, Sam Patterson Truck Brokers Inc. and Suncoast Community Health Centers Inc.
Special Business of the Year for exemplary community contribution also will be announced.
+ Pig Jam
The 11th Annual Pig Jam will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23, at 1500 S. Park Road.
More than $16,000 in prizes will be offered, live entertainment and, of course, delicious barbecue. There will be professional, state championship and amateur competitions.

+ Plant City Garden Club
The Plant City Garden Club teamed up with All A Bloom Florist to provide flower arrangements for the resident dining room at the Community Care Center last month.
About six to eight times a year the Garden Club brings fresh arrangements to the care center.
+ K9 Kids Camp
K9 Kids Camp is partnering with several Plant City organizations and businesses to host its Presidents 4 Pets campaign, in honor of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.
The camp, along with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, Animal Wellness Center of Plant City, Turkey Creek Animal Hospital and Linda’s Pet Stop Grooming, will host a collection drive to benefit pets in shelters and provide items needed to help keep shelters operational, and animals comfortable and safe.
Individuals who wish to make a donation can drop off items at either the Animal Wellness Center, 3109 S.R. 574 W., or Turkey Creek Animal Hospital, 4645 U.S. 92. K9 Kids Camp Pet Sitters also will pick up donations through Nov. 15.
