STOLEN SAFE
1700 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Business Burglary. Unknown suspects pried the door lock off the front door with a crow bar and went to the back of the store. The suspects stole the store safe, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects fled in a blue car.
PAIN AT THE PUMP
1200 block of Townsgate Court. Battery. Two customers at the convenience store battered each other. Both parties issued a request for prosecution for simple battery.
PURSE PROBLEM
1400 block of South Collins Street. Theft. The victim left her purse in a shopping cart. She realized the purse was missing when she went to pay for items. While the victim was at the counter, an individual walked into the store with two of her IDs and her keys, which were found in the parking lot.
BUSTED
1300 block of West Washington Street. Drug Investigation. An officer attempted to make contact with the subjects standing next to a white Lexus at this location, but they walked away as he approached. The officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the car as he walked up. The suspect was sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The suspect attempted several times to push officers away, as well as made several attempts to reach into his pockets. The suspect was arrested for possession of 10.7 grams of marijuana and resisting arrest without violence.
WORST NIGHTMARE
710 block of West Madison Street. Domestic Battery. The victim advised he was lying face-down in bed when the suspect jumped on him and began to bite his head. The victim turned over, and the suspect continued to beat on his chest. The suspect and the victim live together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Orient Road Jail.

3610 block of Trapnell Ridge Drive. Vehicle Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked Jeep Liberty and stole $70 cash and some credit cards.
THREE IN A ROW
3500 block of Trapnell Grove Loop. Vehicle Burglaries. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked 2008 blue Honda car and stole a Coach purse, valued at $400, and a Nook Color. While investigating this call, two other vehicles were found burglarized.
FASHION STATEMENT
2900 block of Juniper Lakes Place. Vehicle Burglary. An unknown suspect entered an unlocked Volkswagen and stole a pair of $15 sunglasses and a pair of $30 earrings.

CAMERA CRIMINAL
100 block of Gordon Street. Shoplifting/Petit Theft. The cashier stated a white male was exiting the store when the anti-theft alarm was activated. The cashier met with the male, who was carrying a bag. A look inside the bag revealed two digital/video cameras. The cashier placed the cameras on the counter, at which time, the male ran out of the store and again activated the alarm. The cashier checked the cameras and determined another two were missing. The male was described as in his early twenties with a trimmed beard. He was about 5-foot-7 and slim. He got into a red in color Chevy Cavalier and fled the business. The cameras were valued at $30 each. Two were recovered; two still are missing.
TV TROUBLES
510 block of Lindsey Anne Court. Residential Burglary. The victim stated she left home and returned to find her four flat-screen televisions were missing.

600 block of West Baker Street. Criminal Mischief. An unknown person(s) threw a brick through victim’s vehicle window. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

UP, UP AND AWAY
1200 block of North Wheeler Street. Business Burglary. The suspect entered the 24/7 business and pulled down the ceiling panels in the bathroom and attempted to enter the area where the money/coins are stored.
OOPS
3100 block of Azalea Blossom Drive. Accidental Shooting. A 46-year-old white male accidentally shot himself in the leg while visiting a friend.
CLOSE CALL
1200 block of Spotted Lilac Lane. Attempted Burglary. The victim was sleeping when he heard a knock at the front door. The victim did not see anyone outside. Several minutes later, he heard a window break on the west side of the residence. The victim yelled and the suspect(s) ran off.

3210 block of Stevenson Street. Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. The victim heard a noise around 2:30 a.m. that sounded like something hitting the house. The victim awoke later to find a hole in her living room ceiling and a bullet on the floor.

2200 block of West Oak Street. Vehicle Burglaries. Unknown suspect(s) entered 2006 Toyota truck and removed a black/grey purse, valued at $30. Additionally, suspect(s) entered a 2002 Buick SUV and stole a red Coach purse and grey Coach wristlet wallet, valued at $100 and $80, respectively.

MIXED MESSAGE
1300 block of South Collins Street. Criminal Mischief. Unknown person(s) spray-painted “E.Sx2” in black on the south wall of the building.
SURPRISE ATTACK
310 block of East Calhoun Street. Criminal Mischief. Two suspects came up to the residence and started screaming and pulling the window screens off the apartment windows, causing about $80 in damage. They left prior to police arrival.
THERE’S THE BEEF!
4700 block of Dawn Meadow Court. Criminal Mischief. The victim advised she was sitting in the house, when a loud crash came from the rear of the residence. The rear window was broken, with $300 in damages. The object used to break the glass was a frozen piece of ground beef.

THAT PURSE DIDN’T MATCH
100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Vehicle Burglary. The victim got into a verbal argument with the suspect inside the bar. The suspect left the bar and made entry to an unsecured black Lincoln SUV, which belonged to the victim. The suspect was observed walking away from the vehicle with the victim’s purse on his shoulder. Patrons from the bar tackled the suspect and flagged down an officer.

NICOTINE FIENDS
500 block of South Wheeler Street. Business Burglary. Officers responded to an alarm call and observed a hole in the concrete wall in the rear of the business. which led to the storage room of the store. Officers checked the interior of the business for suspect(s), with negative results. The damages totaled $1,000. The suspect(s) stole 31 cartons of cigarettes, totaling $1912.77.
JUST HELP YOURSELF
4610 block of State Road 574. Theft. A white male entered the cooler and concealed a beverage worth $5 on his person. The suspect then went to the counter and took a collection container from the register area that contained about $50.
PANE PAIN
330 block of Park Spring Circle. Criminal Mischief. The victim returned home from work and noticed a window pane was shattered in the rear of her apartment. No entry was made to the residence.
