An officer observed a female known to him to have a felony arrest warrant. The officer met with the suspect and confirmed her outstanding fugitive warrant with a set bond of $2,500. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Crash and Dash – DWLSR
W. Ball St/S Tyler St
An officer responded to the above-listed intersection in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, one-half was observed to be leaving the scene. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle a short distance away from the crash. It was learned that the driver was the at-fault driver and ran a stop sign, causing the collision. The driver did not possess a valid driver’s license and never had one assigned. The driver was arrested, charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Jesus Take the Wheel – DUI Arrest
N. Park Rd/N Frontage Rd
An officer responded to a complaint regarding a suspicious vehicle stopped at the traffic light at the above-listed intersection. The vehicle was stationary within the roadway and had remained stopped through multiple light cycles. Upon arrival, the officer observed the driver to be asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle was running, and the gear shift was in the “drive” position. For safety, the vehicle was placed in “park,” and the driver was woken up. He was placed under arrest for Driving under the influence.
Taking a Dive – Warrant & Drug Investigation
W. Damon St/N Wheeler St
An officer made contact with a subject who was observed to be dumpster diving on private property of a home under construction. The subject was learned to have an active HCSO warrant for failure to redeliver hired personal property. The warrant was confirmed via HCSO Operator with a bond of $2,500. The subject was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Ban the Scan – Petit Theft Arrest
2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer responded to the above-listed business in reference to a shoplifting complaint. The subject selected numerous items of merchandise and failed to scan a total of $88.76 at self-checkout. The subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Now You See Them – Theft
500 block of E Tomlin St
An officer responded to the above-listed residence in reference to a delayed package theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, who reported that upon returning home, he observed Amazon packages at his front door. After briefly entering the residence, he discovered the packages missing upon his return outside.

Clean Getaway – Burglary
1700 block of Tahitian Sunrise Dr
An officer met with the complainant who advised a newly built residence was burglarized between January 24 and 27. A washer valued at $500 and a dryer valued at $500 were stolen from the residence.
You Hid it Where? – Theft/Poss of Spice/Intro of Contraband
1100 block of N. Merrin St
An officer responded to the above-listed location regarding a delayed theft report. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who advised a subject walked onto his property and stole a lighter and cigar cutter from his property. The subject was located approximately two hours later during another suspicious persons call for service. The subject was charged with petit theft, possession of a controlled substance, and introduction of contraband into a detention facility.

An officer met with the owner of a business who reported a dine and ditch with a total loss of $19.36

Really Easy Pass – Stolen License Plate
2100 block of N. Park Rd
An officer met with the victim who reported his car became disabled and later totaled during Hurricane Milton. Sometime during the course of the storm and the insurance claim/towing process, the Florida tag attached to the vehicle came up missing. The victim is now receiving toll violation notices with the tag attached to another vehicle. The tag was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen.
In The Club – RAWOV
300 block of S. Daniels St
Officers responded to a trespass / suspicious person call in which a neighbor reported multiple subjects loitering in and about a vacant residence. Upon arrival, officers announced their presence, and several known homeless subjects complied and exited the vacant residence. One subject refused commands to exit and attempted to walk away, then pulled away from officers inside the residence. The subject continued to resist yelling and cursing once outside, which caused multiple neighbors to awaken and come outside. The subject was placed under arrest for RAWOV, disorderly conduct, and loitering and prowling and transported to Orient Road Jail.

How Many Times? – Felony DWLSR
N Park Rd/S Frontage Rd
An officer conducted a traffic stop and learned the driver’s license was currently suspended with three prior convictions for DWLSR. The driver was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Wanna Chat? – Misuse of 911
400 block of N Alexander St
Officers responded to the above-listed location in reference to a subject calling 911 numerous times. Upon arrival, contact was made with a subject who advised he needed mental help. He would not elaborate and did not meet Baker Act criteria. The subject called 911 six times within an hour time frame. When operators attempted to gather further information, the subject would disconnect the line each time. An officer subsequently arrested the subject for misuse of 911 and transported him to Orient Road Jail.
