An officer responded to the police department and met with the complainant, who reported an unidentified suspect entered the bank on multiple occasions and wire transferred approximately $350,000 from her bank account.
It’s A Work of Art – Criminal Mischief
100 block of N Collins St
An officer responded to the above location following a report from a concerned citizen regarding spraypainted graffiti inside the men’s public restroom.
Feeling Guilty? – Theft
2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer responded to the above location in reference to a report of a stolen wallet from a shopping cart. Upon arrival, the officer met with both loss prevention staff and the victim. It was determined that the victim had swapped shopping carts and accidentally left her wallet in the other cart. Upon realizing the wallet was missing, she reported it to loss prevention and observed a white male leaving the store with the wallet on video surveillance.
While the officer was investigating the incident, another officer was stopped in traffic when a white male exited his vehicle, approached the officer, and handed him the wallet, stating that he had found it at the above location. As the traffic signal turned green, the male returned to his vehicle and drove away before the officer could gather any identifying information.
The officer returned the wallet to the above location, where it was returned to the victim, who reported that $420 in cash was missing from the wallet. Efforts to identify the white male were unsuccessful, as surveillance footage revealed that when the male passed through the checkout, he paid with cash and left the store. At no point did anyone observe the male removing money from the wallet.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the victim stated that if the male was located, she did not wish to pursue prosecution.
February 8
You Can’t Be Here – Trespass W/Arrest
1500 block of Syndey Road
Officers conducted proactive policing around the above location. While doing so, they found three individuals that had been previously trespassed. FCIC/NCIC local query searches revealed the subjects had active trespass warnings and were in clear violation by being on property within the presence of Law Enforcement. All three subjects were placed under arrest and taken to Orient Road Jail.
February 9
More Art – Criminal Mischief
1100 block of W Risk St
An officer responded to the location of the incident in reference to a delayed criminal mischief. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, who stated an unknown person(s) had used a sharp object to scratch a not nice word along the front passenger door outside panel. The vehicle was last observed undamaged on the evening of 02/07/2025, and damage was noticed on 02/08/2025 at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Strawberry Fields Forever – Grand Theft Auto
2600 block of E. Cherry St
An officer responded to the location in reference to the report of a delayed vehicle theft. The officer met with an HCSO Deputy, who stated a car was found abandoned in the strawberry fields located near the intersection of Cason St. and Gentry St. The deputy contacted the registered owner, who stated he had allowed a friend to borrow his car last night and told him it had been stolen.
Hunker Down – Shooting
2300 block of James L Redman Pkwy
Officers responded to the area in reference to calls regarding the sounds of shots fired and vehicles fleeing the area.
No Driving For You – NVDL Arrest/Possession of Cannabis
700 block of S Collins St
An officer was patrolling the area of East Alabama Street and South Evers Street when he observed a vehicle, and the registration check revealed the registered owner did not possess a valid driver’s license. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer determined that he was not the registered owner. The driver stated that he did not possess a valid driver’s license and had never been issued one. An Electronic Criminal Report Affidavit (eCRA) was completed for No Valid Driver’s License (NVDL) and Possession of Cannabis. Additionally, a citation was issued for Open Container within a Motor Vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
February 11
Investigation Gone Cold – Burglary Residence
1700 block of Tahitian Sunrise Dr
An officer responded to the above location in regards to a delayed burglary report. Officers made contact with a representative of the home builder. The representative advised that between Feb 7 at 5:00 p.m. and Feb 10 around 7:30 a.m., a stainless-steel Whirlpool refrigerator was taken from the recently built home. No further leads were located during the investigation.

Crash and Dash – DUI W/Property Damage, Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Injuries
James L Redman Pkwy/S Park Rd
An officer responded to the above-listed intersection in reference to a traffic crash with injuries. Upon arrival, multiple witnesses advised officers that they observed the at-fault driver exit the driver’s seat of his vehicle and walk away from the crash. Officers located the driver and detained him. After an investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
