Snip, Snip – Criminal Mischief

1400 block of Tristar Dr

An officer responded to the construction site and met with the complainant, who advised, sometime between Feb 19 and Feb 21, an unknown suspect cut wiring throughout three homes under construction, causing approximately $24,000 in damage. 

Set My World on Fire – Criminal Mischief

2300 block of E Timberlane Dr

An officer was dispatched to the above-listed residence in reference to a possible criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 6-foot section of a 4-foot wooden fence had been burned.

Definitely Eluded – Flee to Elude Law Enforcement

Baptist Church Rd/W Alexander St

An officer attempted a traffic stop on a white motorcycle with no visible Florida license plate near the above-listed intersection. Upon initiating the stop, the suspect fled, and the officer terminated pursuit for safety reasons.

Double Trouble – DUI Arrest

James L Redman Pkwy/SR 60

An officer conducted a traffic stop due to the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.

February 22

Scaring Away Bears – Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

3400 block of Silverstone Court

An officer responded to the above listed residence in reference to multiple gunshots heard coming from the backyard of the home. Officers made contact with a subject sitting on the back porch of the home. The subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Shattered Dreams – Shooting/

Criminal Mischief

1900 block of E Calhoun St

Officer responded to the above listed residence in reference to multiple gunshots heard in the area. The residence sustained damage, including a shattered window and drywall impact, totaling an estimated $300 in damage. No injuries were reported. 

Busy Day – Shooting/Criminal Miscief

300 block of Waller St

Officers responded to the above-listed residence in reference to multiple gunshots heard in the area. An officer met with the victim, who reported bullet damage to a northeast window and two interior walls.

February 23

Smash and Grab – Vehicle Burglary

3000 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the above location and made contact with the victim, who reported that he had driven his vehicle to the restaurant to meet a friend at approximately 6:00 p.m. and did not return to his vehicle until 11:15 p.m. Upon his return, he discovered that the front passenger-side window had been smashed and the center console was open. A $5.00 bill, along with two medication bottles for diabetes, had been removed from the console.

Just Wanted a Hoagie – DWLSR/Crash

Thonotosassa Rd/I-4

An officer responded to the above location following a report of a crash with possible injuries. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver at the time of the incident had a suspended license due to financial obligations. A review of driving history showed that the driver had been previously convicted of Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (DWLSR) on three separate occasions. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest. An eCRA was completed, and the driver was transported to Orient Road Jail without further incident.

Lunk Alarm – Felony Battery arrest

1800 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer met with the victim who advised he was battered by a subject after a verbal altercation at the above location. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.

No, No, No – Trespass after Warning

600 block of S. Frontage Rd

An officer, while patrolling the area, observed a subject on the property of the closed business. Contact was made with the subject who was found to have been previously trespassed from the property on 2/1/2025. The subject was not APAD eligible due to multiple prior arrests and was transported to Orient Road Jail.

STOP, In The Name of Law – Criminal Traffic Arrest

W Baker St/N Evers St

An officer witnessed a vehicle fail to stop at a steady red light while traveling west at the above-listed intersection. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed that the vehicle did not have a license plate attached. The driver was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license (second or subsequent offense), operating a motor vehicle without registration, and transported to Orient Road Jail.
