That’s Methed Up – Possession of 

Narcotics

2300 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the area in reference to a disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. The boyfriend was placed under arrest for possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

No One Will Know – Warrant out of County

1700 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer made contact with a subject in reference to a suspicious vehicle call (seen driving recklessly earlier) while parked on the east side of the business. A computer check revealed a Polk County VOP – DUI/DWLSR. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

My Vehicle, Bad Choice – DUI

300 block of Seminole Lake Blvd

Following a traffic accident, contact was made with a subject who was DUI and possessed no valid driver’s license. The subject was taken into custody, charged with no valid driver’s license and DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Nighty, Night – DUI

E Baker St & N Maryland Ave

An officer responded to the intersection in reference to a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. Contact was made with the driver who showed signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Somebody Scream! – Drug Arrest

1500 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the area about a female screaming at passing cars and causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer met with the subject, who was sitting on a curb beneath a vehicle overhang. The subject was placed under arrest and taken to Orient Road Jail. 

Hit and Run – Theft

2600 block of Thonotosassa Rd

An officer responded to the above location in reference to two adult males leaving without paying for the food they had consumed.

What a Let Down – Criminal Mischief

500 block of S Lake St

An officer responded to the above location and met with the victim, who reported an employee began a verbal dispute with him when he arrived within a few minutes of closing time. While the victim was unloading in the vehicle bay, the employee walked by the front of his truck and intentionally punctured both front tires. The employee was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Slow Speed Getaway – Grand Theft

2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the above-listed business in reference to a delayed theft complaint. An electric scooter valued at $2,500 was stolen. 

Donkey – Criminal Mischief

2200 Thonotosassa Rd

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, the officer confirmed the property was a residence commonly used by visitors attending the Festival to park their vehicles. The victim reported discovering a not-nice word scratched into the front driver’s side door of his vehicle, which had been parked securely earlier that day. 

Who Put That There? – DUI Arrest

W Calhoun St & Roux St

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at the listed intersection. Upon arrival, an officer made contact with the driver who had crashed into a utility pole. Based on the totality of the investigation the driver was placed under arrest for DUI and no valid driver’s license.

Users Are Losers – Trespass After Warning/Possession of Methamphetamine

500 block of N Alexander St

An officer was conducting proactive patrol of the above location and observed a subject who is known to have an active trespass warning. Upon contact, the subject was advised he was under arrest, at which time he took flight on foot eastbound from the park. The officer gave chase when an unrelated dog attacked him multiple times diverting his attention to prevent being bitten. Other responding officers arrived in the area at which time the subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
