Need A Ride? – Supplement

1100 block of Fletcher Lane

Officers responded to the above location in reference to attempting to locate a subject with an active probable cause pickup for grand theft. Upon arrival, officers observed the subject walking outside at which time they made contact and placed him under arrest for grand theft. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Ride it Like You Stole It – Bicycle Theft

400 block of Waller St

An officer responded to the above-listed residence in reference to a delayed report of a stolen bicycle. The victim reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen from the back of the residence. 

Three Ds, Drinking, Driving & Drugs – Drug Investigation

South Collins St/W Ball St

An officer conducted a traffic stop at the above-listed intersection for an obstructed license plate due to a license plate cover. Upon making contact with the driver, officers observed multiple open alcohol containers in the front passenger seat floorboard. The passenger appeared to be heavily intoxicated and irate. Despite multiple verbal warnings, the passenger became increasingly agitated, shouting profanities and aggressively questioning officers in a loud and confrontational manner. His disruptive conduct persisted for approximately 30 minutes. Due to his highly intoxicated state and disorderly behavior in a public place, the passenger was placed under arrest. The driver was arrested for possession of cocaine and the passenger for disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. Both were transported to Orient Road Jail.

Knock A Little Louder – Criminal Mischief

4700 block of Westwind Dr

An officer responded to the location in reference to the report of delayed criminal mischief to the front door. Upon arrival, an officer met the victim, who heard a loud noise last night near the front door at around 12:30 a.m. with dogs barking. The victim did not get up to investigate the noise and later in the morning found the front door had been what appeared to be kicked and damage was visible along the door frame.

Bad Habit – DWLSR

E Cherry St/Nancy Ter

An officer was conducting active patrol and observed a vehicle with no tag attached. A stop was conducted and the driver was found to be operating without a license. The driver was listed as a Habitual Traffic Offender and had 5 previous DWLSR convictions. The driver was placed under arrest for felony DWLSR and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Damaging Movie – Criminal Mischief

200 block of W Alexander St

Officers responded to the above location and met with the victim, who reported an unknown subject damaged her vehicle while at the cinema. No leads were developed as a result of the investigation. 

Magician on the Run – Theft

2100 block of W Baker St

Officers responded to the above location and learned an unknown subject entered the store and began a Western Union transaction for $4,000. Before the transaction was complete the subject used sleight of hand and kept $2,800 of the $4,000. 

Brewskis and Bruises – Felony Battery/Shoplifting

2800 Thonotosassa Rd

Officers responded to the above location in reference to a subject who stole a Four Loco beer and attempted to leave the premises. An employee tried to stop the subject from leaving at which time the subject struck him in the face with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground, causing the employee to strike his head on the ground.  The subject fled the scene on a red bicycle southbound. However, he was located near Woodrow Wilson St. and detained. A criminal history revealed the subject had previous battery convictions and therefore was charged with felony battery in addition to the petit theft.

Riding Under the Influence – Drug Possession

An officer observed a subject riding down the middle of W Baker St with no lights on the bicycle after dark. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Property Polka – Trespass after Warning

800 block of S Empire St

An officer responded to the location in reference to a known subject being on the property and already having been trespassed from the property. The officer located the subject asleep inside of a vehicle on the property. It was confirmed the subject had been trespassed for one year. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail. 

March 25

Spray-Painted Shenanigans – Felony Criminal Mischief

400 block of N Alexander St

An officer responded to the above location regarding graffiti on the south wall of the business. A subject previously trespassed from the property on March 6, was located and taken into custody. Due to prior criminal mischief convictions, the subject was charged with Felony Criminal Mischief – Subsequent Offense and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Skin Suit Artistry  – Theft 

1000 W Calhoun St

An officer met with the victim, who reported that overnight, someone removed four taxidermied fish from the exterior wall of the residence. The value of the theft is approximately $400. There is a video, but the suspect is unidentified at this time.
