That’s Not My Name – Warrant
1800 block of W Charlotte Ave
An officer was conducting active patrol and observed a subject on foot that was known by the officer to have an active warrant. Officers attempted to make contact with the subject who gave a false name before fleeing on foot. One officer pursued on foot while the other kept a visual on him utilizing his patrol motorcycle. The subject, realizing he had no viable escape route, was cornered in the backyard of a residence where he was captured. The subject was charged with false name to LEO, resisting an officer without violence, possession of cannabis, along with two warrants. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
New Lawn Business – Theft
3200 block of Stevenson St
An officer met with the victim who reported his push mower and 5 gallon gas can were stolen from his backyard within the last month.
No Paparazzi – Battery
800 block of E Alsobrook St
An officer met with the victim who reported that she was pushed by a known suspect after asking her not to take a photo of the deceased at a funeral service. The suspect fled prior to PCPD arrival but the victim declined to press charges and signed a waiver.
March 29
Found These – Theft
2000 block of N Wheeler St
An officer met with the victim who left two suitcases next to the gas station while he roamed the area talking on the phone. When he returned in approximately ten minutes, the suitcases were gone. Security approached and advised they had located the suitcases. The suitcases still contained all of the victim’s property and he did not wish any further action/assistance.
Can’t Catch Me – Flee to Elude/DWLSR
James L Redman Pkwy/E Park Rd
An officer observed a vehicle being driven by a known suspect that the officer knew had a suspended license. A traffic stop was attempted but the subject fled the area.
March 30
Gun Gone – Vehicle Burglary/Delayed
700 block of N Wheeler St
Officers responded to the above location in reference to a possible delayed vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who stated while at an event on March 29, an unknown subject entered his unlocked motorcycle storage box and removed a gun with an unknown serial number.
Another Gun Gone – Theft
900 block of N Franklin St
Officers responded to the above location and met with the subject who stated his gun was missing.
Twofer – Warrant -Double Arrest
2200 block of N Park Rd
Officers responded to a theft which had just occurred where two subjects were observed taking food items from the store and eating them near the air pumps within the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers met with the subjects who both showed active arrest warrants for VOP Burglary. Both warrants were confirmed, both subjects were arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Hit and Walk? – Battery
E Alsobrook St/S Collins St
An officer was flagged down by a subject who advised he was intentionally struck by a vehicle. A tag was obtained and contact was made with the registered owner who acknowledged the incident and stated it was not intentional and that he pulled over but the subject left the scene. The subject signed a waiver of prosecution.

Repeat Wrongdoer – Shoplifting
100 block of W Alexander St
A shoplifting incident in progress was broadcast by dispatch, indicating that the suspect was fleeing. The suspect was identified. An eCRA was completed for felony petit theft (third or subsequent offense) after it was learned that the subject had many prior theft convictions. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Coffee To Go – Simple Battery
2700 Thonotosassa Rd
An officer responded to the above location in reference to a disturbance and made contact with the victim, an employee. The victim reported an unidentified subject entered the store and demanded a refund for a drink she claimed to have purchased earlier in the day. However, the subject was unable to provide proof of purchase. When employees were unable to process the refund, the subject became increasingly hostile, yelling obscenities at the victim and another employee. The subject then threw her drink at the victim, striking her around the waist and staining her uniform. The subject then fled the area.
To The Drunk Tank – DUI
1400 block of W Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd
An officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on S Alexander St, cross the raised median and for a brief period, drive in the oncoming lanes of travel. Contact was made with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Just Napping – NVDL
State Road 574 and Turkey Creek Rd
An officer was assisting with an on-going robbery investigation and was alerted to a vehicle stopped for the traffic light at the listed intersection for several light cycles. The driver was found sleeping inside the vehicle. The driver stated he was tired from work and when asked to present his license he stated he never had one issued. He was taken into custody for NVDL and transported to Orient Road Jail.
