Walk the Plank – Theft
1800 block of Tropical Oasis Ave
An officer responded to a residence currently under new construction. The complainant reported the theft of wooden planks and plywood valued at approximately $600.
Never mind – Resist Officers without Violence
300 block of N Michigan Ave
An officer responded to a 911 hang-up at the Plant City Courthouse. Upon arrival, he located a subject sleeping at the front entrance, surrounded by personal belongings, including a machete, a metal file, and items plugged into a courthouse outlet. A clearly visible “No Trespassing” sign was posted above him. The subject was advised he could not be on the property. He initially complied when asked to move away from the weapons but became uncooperative when told to sit down, refusing commands and walking away. After eventually sitting, he continued to argue and refused to stand when ordered. The officer attempted to detain him, but he actively resisted and was taken to the ground and handcuffed after a brief struggle. He was arrested for resisting an officer without violence and transported to Orient Road Jail.
April 5
You Can’t Hide – PC Pickup W/Arrest

While patrolling the area, an officer observed a subject known for having an active probable cause pickup for fleeing to elude. The officer placed the subject under arrest for the active charging affidavit. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Don’t Be Obvious – Drug Arrest
3000 block of S Frontage Rd
An officer responded to the above location in reference to a suspicious occupied vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle parked parallel to the parking spaces. While approaching the vehicle, the officer was able to see the driver was asleep behind the wheel and what appeared to be a handgun in the front passenger seat in plain view. The office was able to secure the item, which was identified as a BB gun, at which time he also observed narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view on top of the center console area. The driver was woken up, identified, and placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance along with drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Don’t Drink and Drive – DUI arrest
Thonotosassa Rd & I4 Ramp
An officer responded to the above-listed intersection as a backup in reference to a vehicle crash with a suspected DUI. Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject who was observed to be swaying side-to-side and unable to maintain balance while standing. After an investigation, the subject was placed under arrest for DUI.
Arrive Alive – DUI Arrest
W Reynold St & N Wheeler St
An officer responded to a traffic stop at the above-listed intersection. The vehicle was observed swerving in and out of roadway lanes. The driver was exhibiting signs of impairment and, after an investigation, was arrested for DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Anger Management Needed – Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
James L Redman Pkwy/E Alexander St
Officers responded to the area in reference to a road rage incident. It was learned the driver of another vehicle became angry and pointed a revolver at the victim. The subject was located and placed under arrest.
Lock Em Up – Vehicle Burglary/Delayed
3100 block of Sammonds Rd
An officer responded to the above location and met with the victim, who stated her purse with multiple ID items had been removed from her unlocked vehicle.
April 9
Lesson Learned – Trespass After Warning Arrest
900 block of E Warren St
Officers arrested a subject for Trespass after Warning. The subject had been issued a trespass warning from a residence earlier in the afternoon at the request of the homeowner and deliberately returned to the residence later that afternoon. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
April 10
Three Strikes – Traffic Crash/Arrest
W Ball St at S Waller St
An officer responded to the above location and made contact with the subject. He failed to yield and struck another vehicle. A computer check revealed a suspended license and previous convictions for DWLSR w/Knowledge. This was his third offense. He was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
