Boots Made for Walking – Poss Paraphernalia/Trespass After Warning

500 block of Alexander St

Officers were conducting active patrol and observed a known subject with an active trespass warning from the location. The subject fled the park and attempted to walk away upon seeing the officers. Contact was made in reference to the trespass after warning and paraphernalia. The subject was issued a Notice to Appear in reference to both charges. 

Armed Dumping – Attempted Armed Robbery/Drug Investigation

2600 E Cherry St

Officers responded to a disturbance at the above location in reference to a suspect in a bathroom armed with a gun. Further investigation is pending. 

April 12

New Mural in Town? – Criminal Mischief

2600 block of Sprucewood Ln

An officer responded to the 2600 block of Sprucewood Ln in reference to a report of graffiti. The officer met with the subject, who advised that she arrived home and noticed her newly placed fence had been spray-painted. 

Playing Chicken – NVDL

Coronet Rd/Roberts Ranch Rd

An officer was traveling to work when a vehicle traveling toward him entered his lane of travel, causing him to leave the roadway in order to avoid a head-on collision. The officer turned around and initiated a traffic stop and learned that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license and had never had one. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Unwanted Surprise – Burglary Vehicle

3600 block of W Reynolds St

An officer responded to a vehicle burglary that had just occurred. The victim walked out to find an unknown person inside her vehicle, who then fled the area.

April 13

Crash, Boom, Bam – DUI

Turkey Creek Rd/Highway 574

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a traffic crash investigation. The at-fault driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI.

April 14

Maybe Rehab Instead? – Drug Investigation

3200 block of N Park Rd

Hospital staff reported the discovery of narcotics while helping a patient change into a hospital gown.

Possession is not 9/10ths of the Law – Petit Theft/Resist Arrest

1500 block of E Baker St

An officer responded to the business in reference to the report of a theft in progress. Officers arrived on the scene and met with the complainant, who pointed out a subject who had stolen merchandise and refused to pay. Officers met with the subject, where stolen merchandise was in plain view, and who refused to cooperate and actively became resistant. The subject was found to have stolen $67.50 of merchandise that was recovered. They were charged with petit theft along with resisting arrest without violence and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Stay Away – Trespassing W/Arrest

800 block of Valencia Rd

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a subject trespassing who had been trespassed on 3/14/25. The officer met with the complainant, who requested the subject leave the property and advised of the previous trespass. The subject was found to be on the property and was placed under arrest for trespassing after warning. 

April 15

No Good Intentions – Drug Investigation

2800 block of James L Redman Pkwy

Officers responded to the above location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with two subjects who were advised they could not be on the property after hours. Both were subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to Orient Road Jail.
