July 7
MONOPOLY MONEY
2000 block of North Frontage Road.
Fraud: Complainants at a vehicle dealership stated a fraudulent check was used to buy automotive parts.
BEER GOGGLES
Thonotosassa Road/Alexander Street.
DUI: Officers stopped a wrong-way driver and arrested him after determining he was impaired.
July 8
NAILED IT
900 block of South Tyler Street.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered his 2005 F-250 Ford pickup truck between midnight and 7:30 a.m. and stole a Honda air compressor and three Hitachi nail guns. The items were valued together at $3,400.
NICE TRY
2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway.
Theft/fraudulent return: A female subject was detained at a store after attempting to return stolen property. The subject was arrested and released with a court date.
DRIVE-THRU BURGLARY
200 block of West Alexander Street.
Burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) pried open the drive-thru window at a fast food restaurant, entered the business and stole $100 from three money tills before fleeing the scene.
NOT COOL
610 block of East Langford Street.
Burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked home between 10 a.m. June 30 and 10 a.m. July 8 and caused $600 in damage to an air conditioning duct.
CLEANED OUT
3600 block of West Baker Street.
Robbery/home invasion/burglary: Complainant stated he was forced to surrender cell phones, $268 in cash and a check when his home was invaded. Two concrete saws, a DVD player, a $50 roll of quarters and several clothing items were also reported stolen. An officer discovered the back door to the complainant’s residence had been pried open.
July 10
CHILL OUT
600 block of North Knight Street.
Theft: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) had stolen a five-ton air conditioning unit, valued at $6,859.
July 12
TOOL TIME
1900 block of North Shannon Avenue.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole five nail guns, a Stihl blower and three saws from unlocked tool boxes at his unlocked truck around 8 p.m. July 11. The items were valued together at $3,625.
WHEN NATURE CALLS
2800 block of Thonotosassa Road.
Beverage violation: A male subject was reported to have urinated under the Interstate 4 overpass at Thonotosassa Road. An officer made contact with the subject, who was drinking an alcoholic beverage within 500 feet of a gas station. The subject was arrested for drinking within 500 feet of a business.
July 13
ANTIQUE COLLECTOR
1100 block of Goldfinch Drive.
Burglary: Complainant reported a non-working antique gun and the lower part of an AR-15 assault rifle were stolen from a gun store. The items were valued together at $20,000.
