Baseless Crime – Theft
1800 block of Light Gardens Ave
Officers responded to the above location and met with the complainant who reported at some point between July 9 at 4:00 p.m. and July 12 at 9:00 a.m. and unknown suspect stole 17 doors and baseboards valued at $2,608.
No Call List – Warrant Arrest
500 block of W Dixie St
An officer responded to the above-listed residence at the request of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to attempt contact with a subject who had an active warrant. Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject who had a warrant for failure to appear, harassing phone calls. The warrant was confirmed, and the subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
July 13
You Can’t Stay Here – Trespass After
Warning/Panhandling
400 N Alexander St
An officer observed the subject panhandling at the intersection and approached for contact. The subject walked away into the business parking lot where he had previously trespassed. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide – Felony Warrant
1600 block of S. Alexander St
An officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked within the above listed business complex after hours. Contact was made with the vehicle’s occupant, who was learned to have an active felony warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, at high speed. The warrant was confirmed, and the subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Oops – Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell. Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a Felony

During the above-listed warrant arrest, the same subject was found to be in possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Lights Out – DUI
N. Alexander St/W. Baker St.
Officers responded to the above-listed intersection in reference to the report of a disabled vehicle. Contact was made with a subject who was observed sleeping behind the wheel with a foot on the brake pedal. A DUI investigation was conducted and the subject was arrested.
I’ll Take That – Theft

An officer responded to the above location and met with the complainant who reported the theft of approximately $50 worth of merchandise.
July 15
No Lawn Work – Theft
2400 block of Waver St
An officer met with the complainant who stated an Echo string trimmer was removed from the back yard at some point between July 13 and July 15.
Tool Shed – Burglary
300 block of W Prosser Dr
An officer met with the complainant who reported that a shed on the property was broken into, and approximately $1565 worth of tools were taken.
License? – CCI (DWLSR)
Airport Rd/S Woodrow Wilson St
An officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. It was discovered that the driver had never been issued a license so was issued a criminal UTC for NVDL.
Smoke ‘em If You Got ’em – Petit Theft

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a delayed reporting of a theft. Contact was made with the complainant who advised an unknown number of cigars had been stolen.
I Can’t Drive 45 – Speeding
2400 block of Mud Lake Rd
An officer conducting traffic enforcement observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was confirmed to be traveling at 87 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. The driver was issued a criminal UTC for the excessive speed.

Bye – Cycle – Theft

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a delayed bicycle theft. Contact was made with the complainant who advised he parked his bike in front of the business at 2:00 p.m. and when he returned at 5:00 p.m. the bicycle was missing.
