Cops Corner 07.17.15

The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Plant City Police Department.

JULY 2

FROM PHONE CASE TO COURT CASE

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail theft. Officer responded to a business following an attempted retail theft. The officer arrested a juvenile for stealing an iPhone case and some M&Ms candy, valued together at $53.45.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail theft. Officer responded to a business following an attempted retail theft. The officer arrested a man for stealing several shirts and pants, valued together at $48.28.

WALLET WOES

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Vehicle burglary. Complainant reported that their vehicle, which was unlocked between 8:45 and 9 a.m., was burglarized, and their black-and-silver wallet was stolen. The contents of the wallet were not reported.

JULY 3

DINE AND DASH

1800 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Obtaining food with the intent to defraud. Officers met with the complainant, who stated that a customer failed to pay for a meal at the restaurant where she works. The incident was reported at PCPD headquarters.

JULY 4

RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE

2900 block of Laurel Meadow Court. Theft. Officer responded to a residence following a report of theft. Complainant stated that her 10-karat gold tennis bracelet was missing. Later, she was able to locate the bracelet and declined to pursue criminal charges.

WASH AND A TRIM

1500 block of Burton Street. Theft. Officer responded to a residence following a report of theft. The complainant stated that a Honda pressure washer and an Echo chainsaw were taken from their home.

PRESCRIPTION PILFERER

600 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue. Residential burglary. Officer met with complainant, who reported that someone had entered his residence and stolen medication pills from two containers.

THAT’S NOT GOOD

600 block of Short Street. Vehicle burglary. Complainant reported that an AK-47 assault rifle, with a loaded 30-round magazine clip, was stolen from their vehicle.

THOSE AREN’T FIREWORKS

1300 block of East Ohio Street. Shooting into occupied dwelling. Officers responded to report of an unknown suspect(s) firing rounds into the front door of a residence.

LATE FOR A GIG?

2900 block of Laurel Meadow Court. Theft. Officer responded to report of theft. Complainant stated that a guitar, flashlight and watch were stolen from her home.

$600 STICK-UP

1500 block of Plantation Grove Court. Armed robbery. Officer responded to report of robbery. Complainant stated that $600 was stolen from him.

JULY 7

TERRIBLE TUESDAY

1700 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Criminal mischief. Complainant reported that, overnight, an unknown suspect(s) cut all four tires on their black 2015 Toyota Corolla.

SOMEONE WAS HUNGRY

400 block of South Morgan Street. Vehicle burglary. Officers responded to report of vehicle burglary in an apartment complex. Complainant stated that an unknown suspect(s) entered her blue Hyundai car and stole her wallet, containing her food stamp card and $300 in cash.

JULY 8

WORST POOL BOY EVER

2800 block of Hammock Drive. Theft. An officer responded to a residence following the reported theft of pool equipment. Complainant stated that an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence, which is vacant and for sale, and stole a pool pump, filter and chlorinator pump. The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges and signed a waiver of prosecution.

GUN GRABBER

300 block of East Roseland Avenue. Residential burglary. Officers responded to a residence following a burglary report. Complainant stated that a blue steel .45-caliber Colt pistol, a 9-millimeter Smith & Wesson Series 7 pistol and three gold rings were missing.

JULY 9

BIKE BANDIT

1300 block of North Bracewell Drive. Theft. Officers responded to a residence following a report of theft. Complainant stated that her son’s two bicycles, a black, blue and white Ambush and a green, black and chrome Freestyle, were stolen.

EASY MONEY, EASY EXIT

1200 block of Orange Street. Residential/vehicle burglary. Officer responded to report of theft from a residence. Complainant stated that, overnight, someone stole $10 in change from her vehicle. She reported that a bicycle and helmet were also stolen overnight.
