An officer responded to the police department and met with the complainant who stated she left her fanny pack in the shopping cart after loading groceries. The complainant later returned to the store to find the pack was turned in to customer service with $20 cash, gift cards, and a Target credit card missing.
Take Care of Your Kids – Warrant Arrest
1600 block of E. Alabama St
An officer made contact with a subject who had an active Highlands County warrant for failure to pay child support. The subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
What’s The Lesson? – Trespass Arrest
2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer responded to the above-listed location in reference to a trespassing in progress complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with Loss Prevention, who advised the subject was observed attempting to steal a pair of boots but was stopped prior to leaving the store. It was requested the subject be trespassed from the property. A records check revealed the subject was previously trespassed on 03/04/24 for one year. Due to the subject being on the property, he was arrested and charged with trespass after warning.
Arrive Alive – DUI Arrest

An officer conducted a traffic stop at the above-listed location in reference to a traffic infraction. Contact was made with the drive. Based on the investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI.

Wanna Split It? – Theft
1400 block of S. Collins St
An officer met with the complainant, who reported a subject removed $240 cash from her wallet after she left it in a shopping cart. The subject left the store and the complainant confronted him at Ball St. and Evers St. and the subject returned $100. The complainant signed a waiver of prosecution.
License to Steal – Theft
600 block of W. Ball St
An officer responded to the above location and met with the complainant, who reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle last night and removed her Michael Kors wallet containing $20 cash and her driver’s license.
Here’s a Tip – Theft
1400 block of S. Alexander St
An officer responded to the above-listed location in reference to a subject stealing the tip jar. The tip jar was returned, and the owner signed a waiver of prosecution.
You Can’t Stay Here – Trespass
3900 block of W. Baker St
Officers responded to the above-listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with a subject who was showering in the courtyard. A records check revealed the subject was previously trespassed from the property on 08/03/2024 for one year. The subject was arrested for trespass after warning and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Shattered – Criminal Mischief
2700 block of Thonotosassa Rd
An officer responded to the above-listed location in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised he and his brother purchased food from the business, entered their vehicle, and began to leave the parking lot. As they were backing out of the parking space an unknown subject threw a black metal water bottle at the vehicle breaking the rear driver-side window. The complainant advised he had no idea why the attack occurred or who the subject was. No words were exchanged before, during, or after the incident. The complainant left the area out of fear and called 911.
August 11
Missed Appointment – Warrant Arrest
1800 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer made contact with a subject, who was sleeping in front of the above location after hours. An FCIC/NCIC check revealed the subject had an active Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) warrant for failure to appear-solicitation and distribution on a public roadway. The warrant was confirmed via HCSO Confirmer, the subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Knock, Knock – Construction Materials Theft
3900 block of Radiant Mountain Rd
Officers responded and met with the complainant who stated at an unknown time over the weekend an unknown subject(s) removed 10 interior doors valued at approximately $2,000 from an unsecured residence under construction.
Winston, Is That You? – Theft
200 block of W. Alexander St
An officer responded and met with the manager who reported a theft of approximately $300 in crab legs from the store.
