Possibility of Snow – DUI/Possession of Cocaine
S. Lake St/N. Pennsylvania St
An officer was conducting proactive patrol and located a vehicle on the south side of Reynolds St. near Pennsylvania St. with its brake lights activated. A subject was asleep behind the wheel with the vehicle running. Based on the totality of an investigation, the subject was taken into custody. The subject was charged with DUI and Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute.
Lock Yo Doors – Vehicle Burglary
1200 block of Oak Pointe Pl
Officers responded and met with the complainant who advised between 8/15/24 at 10:00 p.m. and 8/16/24 at 9:15, an unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked white Dodge Charger and removed two wallets containing various ID cards and cash.
Bye-Cycle – Bicycle Theft
2200 block of James L Redman Pkwy
Officers met with the complainant who stated a gray and black “Giant” brand mountain bike had been stolen two days prior while the complainant was at work.
Bank of Break Room – Theft
4300 block of Sterling Commerce Dr.
An officer responded to the above location and met with the complainant who advised during a work shift from 3:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. someone took $846 in cash from a wallet left unsecured in the employee breakroom.
August 17
Nap Time – PC Pickup/Poss Methamphetamine
W. Baker St/Sugar Creek Dr
Officers were conducting active patrols in an attempt to locate a subject with an active PC Pickup for domestic battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer. The subject was located near the intersection sleeping under a tarp. The subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Found It! – Recovered Stolen Bicycle
3100 block of Sammonds Rd
Officers were conducting proactive foot patrol of the wooded area in reference to a homeless camp. Upon contact one officer located the gray/black “Giant” brand bicycle which had been reported stolen on 8/16/24. The bicycle was in good condition, and it was returned to the owner.
Take Care of Your Children! – Warrant Arrest
1500 block of N. Orange St
Officers responded to the area in reference to a disturbance. Once on scene, contact was made with a subject who had an active warrant (civil writ) for child support. HCSO confirmed the warrant, the subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.

You Can Run – Warrant Arrest
N. Park Rd/Sansone Blvd
An officer was conducting active patrol and located a subject who had an active HCSO warrant for VOP petit theft. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Pain in the Glass – Vehicle Burglary
2300 block of Thonotosassa Rd
An officer met with employees at the above location who advised that a vehicle in their parking lot appeared to be burglarized. A truck was discovered with a smashed window in the parking lot.
Steal, Wreck, Run – Stolen Vehicle Recovery
3000 block of Forest Hammock Dr
Officers responded to the area in reference to a single vehicle traffic crash involving property damage to a fence. Upon arrival, the damaged vehicle was found unoccupied and determined to be reported as a stolen vehicle out of HCSO’s jurisdiction on 08/18/2024.

A Ladder Just Wouldn’t Work – Grand Theft
3600 block of Natural Trace St
Officers responded to the above location and met with the complainant who advised that scaffolding equipment valued at $1,000 was missing from the exterior of the construction site.
Livin The High Life – Drug Investigation
1700 block of Waller St
An officer observed a subject seated under a pavilion preparing an aluminum soda can to smoke a green leafy substance. The subject was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrive Alive – DUI Arrest
2300 block of Jim Johnson Rd
Officers responded to the area in reference to a single-vehicle crash near the above-listed location. Upon arrival, contact was made the driver who became aggressive with officers and was subsequently detained. The driver had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Very Inconspicuous – Loitering and Prowling Arrest
Blue Orchid Ave/Great Vessel Pl
An officer was patrolling the above area due to recent thefts when he observed a SUV with construction materials (doors and lumber) on the roof leaving the area. A stop was conducted and contact was made with two subjects. Both were placed under arrest for Loitering and Prowling and transported to Orient Road Jail.
