JULY 24
UNCHECKED CHECK
600 block of North Maryland Avenue. Counterfeit check. Officer responded to the business in reference to a fraudulent check for $534 that had been passed 10 days earlier.
APPLIANCES UNPLUGGED
1100 block of North Warnell Street. Burglary to a residence. Officer responded and met with the complainant who was working on the property. It was advised a refrigerator and stove had been removed from the residence.
MR. MYSTERIOUS
4400 block of Country Hills Boulevard. Information report. Officer made contact with a complainant who said that her son was at a park when a suspect in his teens walked by and pulled his shirt up to reveal a handgun. Suspect made statements to the compliant that the complainant couldn’t understand. The suspect left the area in a white car in an unknown direction.
JULY 25
SMART THIEF
2500 block of Thonotosassa Road. Grand theft. Officer responded to the business and met with the compliant who said five smart phones were stolen. The total value was $2,740.

DIRECTIONLESS
305 block of South Knight Street. Attempted auto theft. Officer responded to complainant who said that her 2011 Chevrolet sustained damage to the steering column.
NOT THE BRIGHTEST
4600 block of Eastwind Drive. Grand theft. Officer responded to reference of a theft of a 52-inch light bar from a 2007 Ford F-250 truck. The value of the light bar is $900.
HATS OFF TO YOU
900 block of McLendon Street. Vehicle burglary. Officer responded to and met with the complainant who said an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle overnight and took miscellaneous hand tools and a cowboy hat, totaled at $90.

SHOULD HAVE GOT NETFLIX
4000 block of Ashton Place. Fraud. Officers responded to this home in reference to an unknown suspect(s) using the victim’s personal information/social security number to open a cable account. The account total overdue is $835.
TOTED AWAY
600 block of South Franklin Street. Burglary. Overnight, the suspect(s) entered an unlocked white 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. The suspect(s) stole the complainant’s black tote bag containing his license, $150 and some miscellaneous documents.
GAS GUZZLER
340 block of Park Springs Circle. Criminal mischief. Overnight, an unknown suspect(s) drilled a hole in the bottom of the gas tank on a 2003 white Ford F-150. Approximately $30 worth of fuel was stolen/spilled from the tank.
WHAT A LOAD
500 block of West Ball Street. Vehicle burglary. Officer responded to the location and learned a 1997 Toyota was entered and a wallet containing $10, an EBT card, three social security cards and insurance cards were taken.
HOW COULD YOU FORGET
North Wheeler Street/MLK Boulevard. Abandoned vehicle. Officer observed a 2002 Lincoln in the roadway creating an obstruction. The owner could not be reached at his address. Vehicle was entered in FCIC as abandoned and towed by Brewington’s.
