610 block of Charlow Court. Theft. A center cap, valued at $50, was stolen from the front left wheel of a Cadillac. No suspects are known. A special watch was placed on the residence.
LOST AND FOUND
510 block of South Maryland Avenue. Drug Investigation. Police recovered 1.3 grams of cocaine from an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot. Vehicle was impounded after subjects in the area failed to claim it or the cocaine inside.
FRIGHT NIGHT
600 block of West Mahoney Street. Home Invasion. Officers responded to the residence in reference to a burglary, which had just occurred. Upon arrival, they met with victim. The victim stated she heard a noise inside her home, and when she went to check, she discovered a man in her house. He grabbed her by the arm and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of property. The victim was uninjured. This case is still under investigation.

FREE WHEELS
1400 block of East Spencer Street. Found Property. A 24-inch men’s blue-and-silver Avalon bicycle was located in the driveway. It appeared sometime during the night.
MISSING MACHINE
10 block of South Maryland Avenue. Theft. Unknown suspect(s) stole an unsecured band saw valued at $400 from the construction site sometime during the night.
SUFFERING FOR HIS ART
2300 block of Henderson Way. Criminal Mischief/Trespassing/Resist Arrest. The suspect was arrested after officers witnessed him spray-painting graffiti on railroad cars. The suspect was in possession of backpack, which contained 14 cans of spray paint and 88 separate spray paint tips. He also had a digital camera which had “before-and-after” photos of the graffiti. The suspect was charged with trespassing/criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence.
MOBILE DEVICES
700 block of East Madison Street. Residential Burglary. The victim said two HP laptops were stolen. The laptops were valued at $2,050.
PARTY TIME
1700 block of East Baker Street. Business Burglary. The victim said the suspects stole Hennessy, Patron and Crown Royal liquor.

GAMER GRIEF
600 block of West Dixie Street. Vehicle Burglary. The victim advised that an unknown suspect took two Gameboy Advance handheld game systems as well as six Gameboy Advance games. The stolen property was valued at $220.
IN THE WILD
Railroad track east of Woodrow Wilson Street. Found Marijuana Plant. Officers recovered a marijuana plant growing near the railroad tracks near Woodrow Wilson Street after an anonymous tipster alerted officers to the presence of the plant. The plant was 4 feet tall.

IF YOU CAN’T SAY ANYTHING NICE …
1400 block of Strawberry Place. Criminal Mischief. The victim said someone scratched an expletive into the paint on her 2005 green Cadillac. The victim said that the damage occurred between 9:15 p.m. Aug. 6, and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 7.
WATER FEATURE
1 Police Place. Investigation. Police conducted a crash investigation after a tractor-trailer attempted to turn around in front of the Welcome Center and struck the water back-flow valve at the entrance of the unused parking lot on the west side of Police Center Drive. Water was shooting up about 50 feet into the air until City Operations responded and turned it off.

1510 block of McDonald Street. Vehicle Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) stole a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun from the inside of an unlocked vehicle.

SCARY SITUATION
1800 block of East Warren Street. Home Invasion. The suspects, armed with shotguns, entered the home and took cash from the victims. The case is still under investigation.

1300 block of Sandalwood Drive. Vehicle Burglary. Sunglasses, valued at $30, were taken from the unsecured vehicle.
MOWER MADNESS
3400 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Theft. A green Poulan lawnmower, valued at $200, was stolen from the yard. The serial number was entered into NCIC/FCIC as stolen.
HOW DARE YOU?!
300 block of North Alexander Street. Shooting with Injury. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his lower back. The victim was very angry the police had been called and was uncooperative. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening. Officers completed a report.
TABLET TROUBLE
4600 block of S.R. 574 West. Theft. The victim stated he was going to ride his bicycle to a friend’s house in Dover but stopped at the store first. He parked his bicycle on the sidewalk, removed his backpack and propped it up against the bicycle. The victim was in the store for about five minutes and exited to find his backpack had been stolen. The victim said the backpack is valued at $80. The victim further said the backpack contained an Impression tablet, which he said was valued at $250.actual-spy.ru
