The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Plant City Police Department.
OCT. 21
FULLY INVOLVED
1800 block of Turkey Creek Road. Structure Fire/Standby for Plant City Fire Rescue. Officers responded to the warehouse at the request of Plant City Fire Rescue. The entire warehouse, about 10,000 square feet, was engulfed in flames. Plant City Fire Rescue and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue both responded to the fire. Turkey Creek Road between Airport and Sydney roads was closed, while it was an active fire scene.
BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR BLIZZARD TECHS
3500 block of Kilmer Drive. Vehicle Burglary. Overnight, unknown person(s) entered an unlocked silver 2013 Ford Taurus and stole two Dairy Queen ID badges, an old SunPass and about $4 in coins.
PACKAGED FOR INDIVIDUAL SALE
300 block of South Waller Street. Found Property. An officer checked the area of a vacant house and found 12.7 grams of marijuana, packaged in 10 individual bags. The drugs were seized.

TAKING IT ALL IN
1700 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Inhalation of Deadly Chemicals. An officer located the suspect lying in front of the business with a can of dust cleaner. He had been inhaling the fumes.
SELF-SERVE CHECKOUT
2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Shoplifting. An officer responded and conducted an investigation regarding a shoplifter detained by loss prevention. The suspect entered the business with a bunch of empty plastic bags. She selected $450.74 in groceries and exited the business without rendering payment.

HOT WHEELS
100 block of North Maryland Avenue. Grand Theft. The victim reported someone stole all four tires and rims from her Nissan Altima, while it was parked in front of her residence.
CRIME OF OPPORTUNITY
4300 block of Barret Avenue. Vehicle Burglary. The victim reported someone stole her HP laptop, valued at $1,200, from the back seat of her unlocked 2008 Saturn SUV.

BAD CHOICE
2100 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. A white male juvenile was detained for theft of sunglasses and a wallet, valued at $54. The juvenile qualified for a diversion program and was released to his mother.
THAT’S HOW THEY ROLL
3100 block of West State Road 574. Grand Theft. Unknown suspects stole four Jeep aluminum wheels and tires from a fenced enclosure between Oct. 22 and 23. The tires were recovered near the entrance of Westside Village off Granfield Avenue. Other investigative leads were turned over to the detective division.
BEETLE BUSTED
Intersection of West Reynolds Street and Acacia Drive. Drug Arrest. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a red VW. When the officer made contact with the driver, there was a distinct odor of marijuana. A juvenile passenger was found to be in possession of 147.2 grams of marijuana, packaged for sale. He was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center, in Tampa.

LOST AND FOUND
3000 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Recovered Stolen Vehicle. A 1996 Mercury, previously reported stolen to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, was found in the parking lot of the business. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
TECH TROUBLE
3000 block of Paul Buchman Highway. Residential Burglary. The victim advised unknown suspect(s) forced open the front door to the residence. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Dell laptop, valued at $1,000, a Toshiba laptop, valued at $300, and an iPad, valued at $500.
NEW WARDROBE
1500 block of Plantation Grove Court. Residential Burglary. The victim stated someone entered her home and took more than $1,000 in miscellaneous jewelry. In addition, three pairs of shoes, three purses and two dresses were taken from her bedroom.
DOESN’T LOOK GOOD
Intersection of West Reynolds and North Alexander streets. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A vehicle was stopped for improper lane change. A canine conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to narcotics. A search of the vehicle located the following items: eight syringes, two glass pipes (one tested positive for marijuana residue and the other positive for cocaine residue), one metal card case with burnt residue and burnt Brillo pads. The two suspects were arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
LOVE HURTS
1400 block of East Ohio Street. Home Invasion Robbery. Officers responded in reference to a suspicious person call. While en route, a caller advised a shot had been fired. When officers arrived, they met with the victim, who advised he asked a female to come over. The female arrived and they talked in the living room. The entire time she was there, she was texting someone. The female announced she had to leave, and the victim opened the door for her. The female stepped aside, and an unknown black male, holding a gun, entered the home. The victim said he ran down the hallway as a shot was fired, and he called the police. When police arrived, he realized a 32-inch LG television was missing.

HALLOWEEN HEIST
2900 block of Forest Club Drive. Grand Theft. The victim placed an animated/electronic Halloween display on his front lawn at 7 p.m. He went to turn off and retrieve the display at 10 p.m., but it had been stolen. The item is valued at $1,500.
CLICK IT, OR GET BUSTED FOR NARCOTICS
900 block of Woodrow Wilson Avenue. Narcotics Arrest. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, because of a seatbelt violation. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle located less than one gram of methamphetamine, two marijuana cigarettes, four Xanax pills and several paraphernalia pieces. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Orient Road Jail.

CLOSE CALL
800 block of West Washington Street and 800 block of South Collins Street. Criminal Mischief. Officers responded to the area of the 800 block of West Washington Street, after three citizens called the police department about hearing up to eight gunshots. While officers were responding to this incident location, another office was flagged down by the victim in the 800 block of South Collins Street. The victim’s yellow Ford Mustang had been shot. The bullet hole in the driver’s door went downward, as if it was from a falling projectile. Eight .45-caliber casings were found and collected in the 800 block of West Washington Street. No other damage was located because of the bullets. No one checked into local hospitals with gunshot wounds.
GUNS UNCOVERED
100 block of West Strickland Street. Found Property. While the homeowner was digging a hole to plant a tree, he uncovered two matching old and rusted revolvers. While retrieving the guns from the hole, a bone was also found. The bone was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, in Tampa, to see if it is a human bone.
DETERMINED, WASN’T SHE?
2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. An unknown black female entered the store and selected more than $200 worth of merchandise from the shelves. She tried to return the items to Customer Service but was denied. She then left the store with the merchandise without paying.
