Oct. 29
ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER
1300 block of West Reynolds Street.
Criminal mischief: Officers responded to an alarm at a restaurant and met with complainant, who stated the alarm was accidentally triggered when opening the restaurant. Officers noticed that the restaurant had a broken window, but it was determined that no one had gained entry through it and that it was unrelated to the alarm going off.
STOLEN STORAGE
3300 block of James L. Redman Parkway.
Burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) stole items from a storage container. The items were related to a church undergoing construction.
Oct. 30
BIG-TIME BEER RUN
2700 block of Aston Avenue.
Fraud: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) had made two unauthorized purchases using his credit card information. Complainant had not lost the card, and noticed the charges on his most recent credit card statement. Both purchases were made at liquor stores in Clermont and Lady Lake, and totaled $839.56.
WALLET WOES
1500 block of Essex Drive.
Lost wallet: Officer met with complainant, who stated he had lost his wallet after leaving a home improvement store on Saturday, Oct. 29. The wallet contained his driver’s license, debit card and $400 cash.
CAR TROUBLE
700 block of West Warren Street.
Abandoned vehicle: Officer responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle blocking a roadway. The owner of the vehicle, a 2000 Nissan, was unable to be located, and the vehicle was towed and listed as abandoned.
Oct. 31
LIGHTS OUT
4650 block of Copper Lane.
Theft: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) stole a 46-inch Kingsway LED light bar from his vehicle. The light bar, valued at $500, was stolen between 2 and 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31.
GLOVE BOX GRAB
1210 block of West Washington Street.
Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) broke a window to enter his vehicle and stole $550 cash from the glove box.
TRYING IT ON
1410 block of Larrick Lane.
Theft: Officers met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) stole a delivered package from their front porch. The package contained four clothing items, valued together at $63.82.
Nov. 2
HIS VEHICLE, HER WALLET
3200 block of Delaware Avenue.
Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) entered his 2004 Chevrolet Suburban SUV between 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, and stole a woman’s wallet, which contained $300 cash. The SUV had been left unlocked.
HALFWAY THERE
200 block of West Alexander Street.
Petit theft: Officers met with complainant, who stated she had left her purse in a grocery store bathroom and, upon returning to the store, found that it was gone. The purse was found in the store parking lot, but her wallet was missing from it.
Nov. 3
GOT TO BE QUICKER THAN THAT
2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway.
Retail theft: Officers responded to a retail store regarding two suspects who had attempted to steal merchandise. One suspect, a female, was in custody, and the other, a male, had fled on foot. The male suspect was caught, and both were taken to jail.
