Criminal mischief: This complainant stated someone put sugar in his vehicle’s gas tank.

April 5

COLD CASE

2800 block of Wilder Meadows Lane

Theft: An officer met with the construction manager for American Homes, who said unknown suspects stole a Lennox air handler, condenser and heating element sometime over the weekend.

April 6

GOTCHA

1300 block of North Turkey Creek Road

Warrant: Officers came in contact with a male subject and found he had an active HCSO felony warrant for failure to appear and vehicle theft. He was arrested and taken to Orient Road Jail without incident.

FAKE FUNDS

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway

Counterfeit: This complainant stated he sold a drone to someone on Facebook and later learned $400 of the $720 he received for it was counterfeit money.

April 7

SLASH AND DASH

3000 block of South Frontage Road

Criminal mischief: Officers met with a complainant who stated someone slashed her vehicle’s left side front and rear tires.

RENTAL RUSE

3400 block of Berry Blossom Lane

Fraud: Officers met with a complainant who stated she paid for a rental property and then learned it was fraudulent.

AIRING IT OUT

4300 block of Sterling Commerce Drive

Criminal mischief: This complainant stated someone broke one of his vehicle’s windows.

TAG TROUBLE

2700 block of Thonotosassa Road

Stolen license plate: This complainant stated someone stole the tag from his Mazda vehicle.
