MAJOR KEY ALERT
Multiple locations.
Criminal mischief: Complainants at the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue and the 200 block of West Alexander Street stated unknown suspect(s) scratched the sides of their vehicles overnight. In at least one case, it is believed a key was used to do the damage.
April 7
UP IN SMOKE
1300 block of East Spencer Street.
Stolen parcel: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole an Amazon package containing a $35 smoking bong from his mailbox.
LIKE AN OLD WESTERN
1 Police Place.
Found property: Complainant stated they found a black bag containing five .22 caliber bullets while moving. Each bullet was labeled with an individual subject’s name. An officer took the bag and bullets and placed them in PCPD property. Because of the labels on the bullets, a report was forwarded to the detective division.
BAD HIDING PLACE
1100 block of North Alexander Street.
Burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole $650 in cash that was stashed in a coat pocket in his bedroom closet. Complainant had placed the cash in the pocket around 5 p.m. and stated it was missing when he returned to the closet a short time later.
WINDOW PAINS
1800 block of James L. Redman Parkway.
Information report: Complainant stated two unknown patrons at a bar were rough housing outside and broke the front glass window of an adjacent vape store. The patrons left before an officer could get to the scene and the vape shop owners did not answer phone calls. The bar employees secured the glass window.
ONE HIT LEADS TO ANOTHER
South Park Road/East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Crash — PCPD vehicle: Officers responded to a traffic crash in the area involving a vehicle and a cow. It was determined the vehicle was disabled which, including the deceased cow, caused an obstruction in the roadway. The officers activated emergency equipment in their marked vehicles and blocked the intersection from all northbound traffic. A motorist tried to drive around one officer’s vehicle to travel north, stopped, backed southeast and hit an unoccupied patrol car’s bumper, damaging the police vehicle. No one was injured and an incident report was completed.

NOT IN GOOD HANDS
1510 block of Sydney Road.
Stolen vehicle: Complainant stated their silver 2002 Infiniti QX4 was stolen in January. Complainant left the car with someone for them to work on it, but has not seen the vehicle nor heard from the person working on it since then. The car was registered as stolen.
