Tag, You’re It – Stolen Tag

Officers met with the complainant who stated a tag had been removed from a boat trailer at some point during the last three weeks.
So Many Things – DWLS – Felony/Felony Warrant
N Park Rd/S Frontage Rd
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle bearing a defaced and expired temporary tag. Upon contact with the driver and owner, it was discovered they had an active HCSO warrant for Failure To Appear along with not having a valid driver’s license and four previous DWLS convictions. The driver was arrested.
Life is Exhausting – Residential Burglary
1200 block of W Madison St.
An officer met with the complainant who advised leaving the residence on July 4 at 10:15 p.m. and returning at 8:00 a.m. finding several items out of place and the window on the East side of the residence was open. The complainant delayed in reporting the incident to PCPD due to cleaning the house and wanting to rest. Four fishing poles with a total value of $200 and a gold wedding band valued at $200 were the only items able to be identified as stolen at this time.
Don’t Say It – CCI(DWLSR)
S. Collins St/W. Prosser Dr
An officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, who spontaneously uttered that she knew her license was suspended. The license was confirmed to have been suspended since May 15, 2024. There was also a seize tag order in place. The tag was seized and placed into evidence and the driver was issued a criminal UTC for DWLSR with knowledge.
July 6
No License to Drive – CCI(Expired DL)
E Rayburn Rd/James L Redman Pkwy
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an expired tag (8/22). Contact was made with the driver who was found to have an expired driver’s license (5/17/2022). The driver was issued a UTC for the expired registration sticker and a criminal UTC for the expired license.
July 7
Looking for a Hand – Panhandling
N Alexander Rd/Thonotosassa Rd
An officer observed a subject next to the roadway holding a sign soliciting charitable contributions from motorists. The subject, post Miranda, admitted he knew that he was in violation of the county ordinance, had already been warned not to solicit and was actively asking for items from passersby. The subject was not APAD eligible due to previous felony arrests and due to this was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Another No License to Drive – DWLSR 3rd offense
E Dr. King Jr Blvd & S Palmer St
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a car with a tag attached that did not belong to the vehicle. Contact was made with the driver/owner who was found to have a suspended license with two prior convictions of DWLSR. The driver was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Got Tools? – Vehicle Burglary
1400 block of E Baker St
An officer responded to the above location and met with the complainant who reported at some time over the weekend, an unknown suspect accessed the secure parking lot by cutting a hole in the fence, and entered a box truck by prying off the lock to the side cargo door. The suspect removed a tool bag containing approximately $1,000 worth of power and hand tools.
Nighty Night – Criminal Mischief
600 block of Walter Dr
An officer responded to a trespassing complaint and met with the complainant, who reported he had not monitored the property for approximately two to three weeks and returned this morning to discover a male and female sleeping on one of the staircases. During a walk-through, the complainant noted three broken windows on one building and two units that had been entered and had evidence of squatters. The complainant advised the replacement value of the windows at approximately $600.
Laid Back – DUI
N Park/N Frontage Rd
An officer made contact with a subject during a crash investigation and the subject showed signs of impairment. The subject refused to perform SFSEs and was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
July 10
Pain in the Glass – Criminal Mischief
100 block of E. Reynolds St
Officers responded to the above location regarding a suspicious persons call for service. Two subjects were located who admitted to damaging a window. The property manager declined to pursue charges and filled out a waiver of prosecution.
Gone, But Back – Stolen Vehicle
1500 block of Plantation Grove Ct
Officers responded and met with the complainant who stated her vehicle was stolen during the overnight hours by an unknown subject(s). The vehicle was later located.

Money, Money, Money – Ordinance Violation
Thonotosassa Rd
An officer observed a subject soliciting motorist along Thonotosassa Road for charitable contributions while being within 3 feet of the roadway. The subject was not APAD eligible due to having multiple prior convictions and was transported to Orient Road Jail.
