Burglary: This victim reported to officers that an unknown suspect pried open the lock of his toolbox and stole more than $1,000 worth of miscellaneous work tools.

900 block of Roux Street
Vehicle theft: During the night of July 26, an unknown suspect stole this victim’s 2013 Ford F-250 pickup truck and disappeared into the night.

Drug possession: Officers stopped a 17-year-old driver during a routine traffic stop and found him to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail without incident.

Theft-Petit: This victim reported to officers that someone stole a woman’s 21-inch Huffy bicycle during the night of July 26.

1400 block of Plantation Circle
Vehicle burglary: This victim reported that an unknown suspect entered his vehicle during the night and burglarized it. The suspect took two firearms from the car and fled the scene.
Blinged up

Grand theft: Someone is looking at a hefty glo-up after they swiped close to $5,000 worth of miscellaneous jewelry from a victim’s home and fled the scene.

Failed fraud

Retail theft: A man was found to have fraudulently returned an item he did not buy. He stole $30, which was provided via a gift card by the store. Once they realized what had occurred, the man in question was found to meet APAD criteria and, as a result, was not arrested after he agreed to participate in the program.

Counterfeit bill: Officers responded to Firehouse Subs in reference to someone using a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for their meal.
July 29
Leaky loot
3400 block of West Baker Street
Criminal mischief: A complainant reported that, at an unknown time between March 1 and July 29, someone attempted to steal a one-inch copper pipe but damaged it, causing its contents to leak. The complaint requested the incident be documented and signed a waiver of prosecution.

Fraud attempt: This complainant told officers a man entered the bank and attempted to cash a check for the amount of $980. Upon checking, the bank realized the check was fake and declined the transaction.

Theft: This complainant reported that, at approximately 1 p.m., an unknown suspect entered his unlocked enclosed trailer and removed a Ridgid three-inch nail gun, a Makita three-inch barrel nail gun, a cordless DeWalt hand saw and a DeWalt impact drill.

Drug investigation: Officers responded to a complaint that a woman was seen climbing into a dumpster. She was located, placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail without incident.

Petit theft: An unknown white female stole a 12-pack and an 18-pack of Bud Light beer, which totaled $31.99, from the Circle K.

Theft: This complainant told officers that, sometime between July 27 and 29, someone removed an estimated 300 to 400 wooden pallets from the front parking area of their business.
