The Strawberry Crest Chargers got back to the top of the Western Conference cheerleading pyramid Thursday night.
Crest picked up a win in the Western Conference competition, its first since 2016 and fifth in six seasons. The team finished with 338 points, 23 more than runner-up Sickles. Alonso rounded out the top three with 309.5 points. Durant placed fifth with 293 points and Plant City placed eighth with 266.3.
The Chargers now have their sights set on the FHSAA Region 3 meet, scheduled for Jan. 27 at Plant City High School.
