The planned construction work to install a new pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Collins Street and J Arden Mays Blvd. has been delayed, said City Manager Bill McDaniel.
During the final utility locate process, it was determined that a waterline in the construction area required maintenance work. The pedestrian crosswalk project will begin after the Strawberry Festival has ended. Prior to the start of the utility maintenance work, the city will inform residents about the new construction date and any road closures associated with the project.
