The band is hoping to add percussionists and other musicians to its lineup.
The Eastern Hillsborough Community Band needs to bolster its rhythm section, among other areas.
The group announced Wednesday, Feb. 10, that it is looking for percussionists, clarinet players, an oboist and a bassoonist to join its ranks.
“With more than 50 members, we sound great, but we would sound even better if we could round out our sound with more players,” conductor Ken Watts says.
Musicians must have at least performed in their high school's band, must be able to read music and bring their own instruments (though some percussion instruments can be provided) and stands. There is no cost, nor age limit, to join.
The band rehearses at 7 p.m. every Thursday in Brandon. For more information, call (813) 569-1771, email info@ehcb.org or visit www.ehcb.org.
