Elections for the open Plant City Commission chair will be held today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 302 W. Reynolds St., Plant City.
Incumbent Mary Thomas Mathis is challenged by Hasani Jackson.
Mathis is in administration at Marshall Middle School and served as mayor.
Jackson is also in education. He is a teacher at Simmons Career Center.
Voters should bring a Florida Driver License or other current and valid photo and signature identification to the polling place. If you don’t have identification, you may vote on a provisional ballot. A list of acceptable IDs is in the Election Day section of VoteHillsborough.org.
If you are a registered voter who moved to Plant City, you may update your current address at the polling place.
If you arrive after 7 p.m. you will not be allowed to vote.
Unofficial turnout during Election Day will be updated periodically at VoteHillsborough.org. The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin reporting unofficial result shortly after 7 p.m.
