The employees of the year for the Plant City Fire Rescue Department and Plant City Police Department were named on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Plant City Fire Rescue named Jake Elliott as the Firefighter of the Year. The Plant City Police Department named Sandra Kapuncinski, communications supervisor, as the Employee of the Year.
The employees were honored at Plant City's Elks Lodge. The Plant City Police Department was given a sponsored lunch, and Plant City Fire Rescue had a sponsored dinner. The awards are given out annually.
