The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation following a fatal traffic crash along Interstate 4.
According to FHP spokesperson Steve Gaskins, three vehicles were involved in a crash just after 3 p.m. while heading eastbound on I-4 near Park Road. One person died and others were taken to area hospitals, he said. The investigation has closed the two left lanes on eastbound I-4 near Park Road, slowing interstate traffic through the city during the already congested Florida Strawberry Festival season.
More information will be available this evening as the investigation continues, FHP said.
