Firehouse Subs is offering free food on Saturday, August 6, to anyone willing to help local first responders.
The Plant City restaurant, located in the Lake Walden Square plaza, 107-2 W. Alexander St., is participating in the chain's annual H2O for Heroes event, where customers who bring an unopened 24-pack of bottled water will get a free medium sub with their food order. The water will be donated to fire departments and other first responders, as well as community centers serving people in need of water.
The limit is one sandwich per person, per case of water.
