Betty Briggs caught up on all her Plant City news while on a belated Mother’s Day trip to Florence and Paris — two of the world’s art capitals. “One thing has stuck with us,” she says. “People all over the world of every race and religion want to experience art (paintings, architecture, music, etc). Perhaps we feel closer to God when we experience creativity, whether in doing it, viewing it or talking about it.”
