Friends have launched an online fundraiser for the Durden family.
George J. Durden, 29, of Plant City, died in a rollover car crash Feb. 8, on westbound Interstate 4, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports. His wife, Kasie M. Durden, 27, was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, with critical injuries, including a broken neck, back and more.
The Durdens were out celebrating Kasie’s birthday. They have two boys, Austin, 10, and Jared, 3.
In addition to the online fundraiser, friends will be hosting a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 15, in Plant City. Location has not yet been determined. Those wishing to donate items can do so at locations in both Plant City and Valrico.
