On Sept. 16, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office hosted the third quarter awards ceremony, which was held at the Falkenburg Road Jail Assembly Room on Falkenburg Road.
Retirees and employees who have been with HCSO for over 30 years were honored, including Corporal Frank Capitano.
Additionally, Detective Jeffery Harris received a Life Saving Award. On Aug. 4, Harris was investigating a theft on Trapnell Road when he noticed a two-year-old child in the mouth of a boxer at a nearby residence on Kendrick Court. Harris chased off the dog and the family of the two-year-old was immediately notified.
