Riverview 3, Plant City 1: Plant City fell to 1-3 this season with another close loss Tuesday, this time coming against Riverview 25-22, 19-25, 23-25, 17-25. Noelle Dietrich had 10 kills, Alex Arnold had 13 kills, Kelly Drake had 33 assists and Danielle Rodriguez led the team with 15 digs. The Lady Raiders will host Tampa Bay Tech tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Strawberry Crest 3, Blake 0: Strawberry Crest picked up a road win Tuesday, beating Blake 3-0. The Lady Chargers dominated Blake in the first two games, beating them 25-4 and 25-10, before holding them off 25-23 in Game 3. Tera Brooks led the team with six kills, while Morgan Drapeza and Megan Reed each had five. Nes Zuluaga and Shelby Waldron each had six digs on the night to lead their team. With the win, Strawberry Crest improves to 7-4 on the year after going 2-2 in the Wharton Harvest Tournament last weekend. The Lady Chargers will face Jefferson High on the road Sept. 20 in a conference game.
