Steinbrenner girls 163, Plant City 176: The Lady Raiders fell short in their rematch Wednesday against Steinbrenner High at Walden Lake Golf Club. Kellyanne Hurst led Plant City with a 40, while Kaylee McIntosh shot a 41 and Kendall Johnson shot a 45. Lindsey Box rounded out the scoring for the Lady Raiders with a 50. Steinbrenner handed Plant City its first regular season loss in over two seasons last week. Plant City is now 4-2 on the year, while Steinbrenner improves to 6-0.
VOLLEYBALL
Wharton 3, Durant 1: Durant fell to Wharton High Wednesday 3-1 (27-25, 20-25, 22-25, 22-25). Caci Andreychuk had a stellar night in the win for Wharton, tallying 24 kills. Durant falls to 1-2 on the season and will face Bishop McLaughlin Catholic in the HCC Invitational Friday.
